7 Hours Freeman House. I completed the color match of the window curtain brackets. I embedded the hanging hardware into the brackets. I changed the front of the curtain cleat so the screws would be concealed. At the house I installed the Curtains in MDS’ office bathroom. MDS decided that we would have the lining in the curtains removed to reduce the volume of the overall look of the curtains. I also installed the curtain cleat in MDS office. I finished installing the electrical panel covers in the basement.
I had a meeting with Jesse about everything that needs to be done in the upstairs guest bathroom:
Need a longer pipe to extend the shower head above the top of the curtain frame
What’s the deal with the exposed threads?
Take wand to George’s to get something that connects to the main pipe.
Ask Dad about Nickel plated screws that need to be added to the ceiling mounted hardware
Put cover plates on the toilet that match the rest of the cover plates
7 Hours on Freeman House today. I installed one of the Electrical Panels, hung the tile art in MDS office, worked on color of the wooden cleat for MDS office…. I think I got it right: It requires at least 3 coats of the clear shellac. . MDS approved the cleat, and i will install it tomorrow. I fabricated the remainder of the window drape arm supports for the downstairs bathroom off of MDS’ office, and worked out a good color match using 3 coats of ferrous sulfate and 1 application of potassium dicromate. 4 applications of the ferrous was too much… with the strength of solution I made.
AD: Gave Skip the hardware that I needed for the outdoor chairs. He was going to go pick it up. I’m done with six of the chairs… I just need to put them together. Unfortunately, in dismanteling all of the chair pieces in order to refinish them, the threads on the majority of the bolts were damaged. I will reassemble them upon receiving the new hardware.
Spent time in the morning making a strap for the tile that’s to be hung in MDS office. Dad decided that it should just be mounted straight on the wall… This is what I’ll end up doing. Started on the punch list. Please reference email sent to MDS today on what was accomplished.
Skip: Met with Skip today… Discussed toilet seats, why his chairs aren’t done, some absolute absurdity, as well as general contracting work.
Patti & Paul: discussed their project. Must get going on it soon.
Tomorrow, must call Alice Norris to tell her that we’re on track still.
